We are in the process of incorporating "Registered Users Pages" which you can access by using log in and password. This would contain information and tools that we only provide for our financial members. Current and intending members who register for this service will be notified in time when this section is fully functional. Registering for user name and password is NOT a substitute for the standard process of joining our group which involves attending General Information Night (if you are in Sydney Metropolitan area), completing the membership form and payment of the membership fee.

Welcome to Gay & Lesbian Immigration Task Force |
|
This is the web site of the Gay and Lesbian Immigration Task Force, (GLITF NSW Inc.) based in New South Wales, Australia. There are similar organizations in other Australian states.
The primary aim of GLITF is to assist the foreign partners of Australian lesbians and gay men to migrate to Australia. We do that by:
-
Providing information and advice relating to Partner Migration for gay and lesbian couples;
-
Working with politicians and public servants to build understanding of the partner migration laws and how they affect gay and lesbian couples;
-
Lobbying to improve the migrations laws to assist more gay and lesbian couples to stay together.
-
Providing updates about changes to migration legislation and policy that would impact the gay and lesbian community.

In order to use the services of GLITF you need to be a member. However, non-members are welcome to attend the General Information Meetings (see the Meetings section).
Fees (all including GST) are:
$90 per couple for three years membership which also includes GLITF Partner Migration Booklet. Existing members may buy an updated copy of the Partner Migration booklet for $25. After 3 years, if you wish to remain a supporting member, an annual fee of $10 is payable. In order not to disadvantage members who joined in 2007, your 2008 renewal will be based on the balance of $90 minus your current membership payments (i.e. if you joined in 2007 and paid $60, your 2008 renewal will be $30 and will see you financial to end of 2009). This offer will only be extended to 2007 joining members. Payments must be cash, cheque or money order. We cannot accept credit cards or EFTPOS. All payments must be in Australian Dollars with cheques drawn against an Australian bank.
Please use the membership application form if sending an application by post.
You can join at any meeting be paying the applicable membership fee, or by sending a cheque or money order through the post. Be sure to include both names, address, telephone numbers and (if available) email addresses if applying by mail.
Members are referred to the MARA publication Information on the Regulation of the Migration Advice Profession (PDF) which provides information on your rights when dealing with Registered Migration Agents, including those at GLITF. |

GLITF is a voluntary non-profit organization. Our registered migration agents all work on a voluntary pro bono basis and receive no income from GLITF. We receive no Government funding. We do not accept sponsorships. We rely on membership fees and sales of our Partner Migration booklet to cover our expenses.
We gladly accept donations.
